New Madrid really looked good in the SEMO tournament. Didn't think that they would win it all, but now that they have they're the biggest threat to go deep in the playoffs this year.

I think the way Senath is coming on and the eventual inclusion of Victor Dukes of Nettleton will make for a big potential matchup with NMCC in that Class 3 district. Who would've thought that would be a possiblity coming into this season?

I think Senath will compete well, but may have to depend too much on Moore and Dukes, whereas New Madrid is deep at each position and has size underneath especially with Newsom. Hayti could be a threat coming down to the end too.

Woodland will win the Stoddard County this year. Bernie isn't deep enough and Dexter isn't as talented. Beal and Reynolds will pull it off, watch.

I watched Woodland beat Scott City in their tournament. I like the Reynolds/Beal dynamic they bring to each game. For a Stoddard County team they should be tough. Teams will have a difficult time defending them.

Let's see if new madrid can sustain this success going through their conference schedule with some sort of a bullseye on their back from winning the tournament. Teams in the conference will be marking new madrid on their schedule to beat this year.
